Well we are getting things ready to get on the road again. This time we are heading to Atlanta. Now I feel the excitement. Although I LOVE Savannah, I have been there many times so it was nothing "new". However seeing the ever darling Penelope and Becca was a treat, now my excitement is heightened for the new places before us. On the four hour drive Spanky and I will be reading up on the Atlanta Zoo and mapping out our approach to our visit.
Since we are going to be on the road a good portion of the day today, yesterday I put a chuck roast in the crock pot and let it cook while we went to Savannah. We knew we'd be having a Super Sized lunch, and we had been told the best time to go to Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House was about 1:15-1:30PM. Since they closed their doors at 2PM, you want to be there late but not too late that you miss it. This way the big lunch rush is over and at that hour, with that big a meal, Steve and I knew we wouldn't want much, if anything for dinner. Well walking back into the RV the smell was so wonderful I almost thought about it, but we just put the roast and gravy in the frig for dinner tonight. Smart huh!! After driving we will be able to unhook the car, put the jacks down, the slides out, hook up to electric and cable and we only have to warm up the roast put it on hoagie rolls and we have french dip for dinner, no muss, no fuss. Yes I AM that good!!!!!!!

Yes dinner was that good!
Well we are all settled in for the night. This is a really nice resort, Atlanta South RV Resort. A little tricky to get to, when I originally called for the reservation the woman I spoke with said not to put the address in the GPS it will take you a round about way. She gave me directions in off the highway. Well I didn't want to have to think about how to get here up to the exit on the highway so I put their longitudinal information in, it was proudly posted on their web page. Well boy am I glad this morning I was looking at the turn by turn info on the GPS, cause it wasn't taking us anywhere near where we wanted to be. Crisis evaded!!!!! Going in the completely wrong direction wouldn't have been a good way to start the day.
So anyway we are here safe and sound until Tuesday, then we will head to Ft. Bragg. My brother is in the Army and stationed there. So Brian look out here we come. Oh by the way, Spanky is really excited to visit the zoo here in Atlanta. I caught him outside with his sign.
