Day 1

Well these last few weeks have been difficult. We have had so much we wanted to get done and in the end I had mixed feelings about leaving behind everyone we care about. I will feel better when I get to see Becca and Penelope in Savannah. We left Salt Springs right on time. There were lots of things we didn't want to do till the last minute. We felt like there wasn't anything we forgot but I guess we won't be sure about that till we get back in the fall. 

Oh my gosh, this part of the trip is a pain in the ass, LOVE BUGS are all over the windshield. I will not miss love bugs while we are gone. I wonder if we will be returning to Florida in time to get them all over us again? Oh joy!!!!!

OK so we are officially settled in in Savannah for the next few days. We have a lovely site, I think it might be the one we were in when we were here with Kim and Robert and Clayton and Carol. This evening I think I'm going to give my poor husband a break and let him relax, although I am so tempted to go get ice cream at Leopold's. I'm not sure which will win, my compassion or my sweet tooth.

      I forgot to tell everybody his name, silly me! The vote was taken and his name is Spanky. Spanky will be making more appearances as we visit places where he feels more at home. However, he did enjoy driving the motor home.

    Probably not the same.....but def an interesting name for the driver !! But I am biased !! Safe travels !!
