Day 63

Time To Go?

Jul 8, 2013, 10:07 AM

We are almost ready to start the engine, pull the slides in, put the jacks up, and put this baby in gear. Steve is outside flushing tanks and disconnecting the water and electric. The weather has turned ugly, it is gray, the wind is blowing, not that that's anything new, and it's chilly, and I really have to wonder if the elements are telling us we have overstayed our welcome. The weather here for the entire 11 days of our stay has been so perfect. It has been cool, bright and sunny, a breeze has been constant, it couldn't have been more perfect - until today! OK I get it, we are outta here!!!!!! On to Ishpeming, where do they come up with these names? Does someone reach their hand in a Scrabble bag, pull out letters, and then that's it, make that a name, I mean come on. I try not to have to say the name until I hear someone pronounce it, I hate to sound like some kind of a rube. A perfect example is Sault St. Marie. Now just looking at this one how do you think it's pronounced? Yes, it has a U in there, that does throw you off, I would pronounce it Salt (like salt and pepper) Saint Marie, but oh no, it's pronounced Sue Saint Marie. Crazy names!!!!!!

Don't you know just as we are getting ready to back up the RV, in comes the rain, oh you're thinking perfect timing, nuh uh!! NO, now I have to be outside. Steve could care less, he used to walk the dogs in a downpour and bitch at me for suggesting he needed an umbrella. "I have my hat on", he tell me. Oh come on, have you seen my husband, do you know this man AT ALL!!!! He wears a freaking baseball cap, like that's going to keep the rain off the rest of him, whatever!! But me, oh no, I'd really rather not be soaking wet thank you. It's something about all my sweetness, I don't know, but the hair will be a mess the rest of the day, I will get cold, cause it was chilly, so I wasn't thrilled. But hey, I put on a jacket!!!! Oooooooh!! I know what it is, it's the Wicked Witch of the West thing, I'm afraid of a reenactment of The Wizard Of Oz!!!! That explains it, just a little bit of self-physco-analysis, boy does that save on the shrink bills.

On our way out of the campground we got a big wave from the owner. I can't say enough good things about the Cedarville RV Park. It was a beautiful location, the sites were very large, the views were fantastic, we had great seats for the 4th of July fireworks, the people were very pleasant, it was clean, what more can you want. {Oh boy, I just realized I'm on the third paragraph and we aren't really doing anything today except moving from one campground to another, Steve is going to groan when he has to proof read this one.  GROAN!  I better read my book or something.}

We are here in Ishpeming, at the campground. The campground isn't much more than a field with hook ups, but it's got it all. Sewer, electric, water, cable, and wifi, the staff is very nice and we are set till Friday. There is even plenty of shopping right here, Walmart, a food store, Gander Mountain, Lowes, Michael's, I've got it all. On our way in we knew we needed to go to Walmart and we were passing one so we stopped with the RV. I kind of like shopping with the RV, I get the groceries to the RV and put them right away. Otherwise I'd put them in the car, take them from the car, then have to put them away. I'm cutting out steps here! Tomorrow we are going to try to find some waterfalls. Cool isn't it? So good night guys, I'll be in touch tomorrow.
