Chester County 4-H Dog Agility Competition

The muffins we made yesterday were off to the Chester County 4-H Dog Agility Competition. Kim left early with Alex, muffins, easy up, water, and an ice filled cooler. I went out about 11AM to see how things were going and to take some pictures of the competition, but that last little bit of information really shouldn't surprise anybody.
I have never been to a dog agility competition, but last night I stayed at a holiday inn express, (I just had to throw that in, it was too perfect a set up), anyway, I've seen them on TV before and I've always thought they look like so much fun. I was right it was really cool. There were lots of dogs and breeds that I didn't associate with agility training. It was fascinating to see the dogs running through tunnels, or jumping through tires and over fences. Those dogs looked like they were having the time of their lives, and the only ones working harder than the dogs were the owners. They were pretty much running right along side the dogs giving orders to the dog about what obsticle came next. I wish the weather had been better. I would have spent more time there but it's really hot here and the competition is in the middle of a big field with almost no shade. Philadelphia is trapped in the middle of a heat wave, it should break Sunday into Monday. We have had some of the crazies weather since leaving Florida. We go to extremes; hot, cold, rain, wind, pretty much the only thing we haven't encountered is snow and it makes me think we could be in for one hell of a ride later in the trip.
Since Kim is going to be on a hot field pretty much all afternoon we kind of decided, actually I decided, we need a break from cooking. I'm thinking pizza tonight for dinner. I'll be sure to let you know how that goes later.

The guys wanted us to pick up beer, so Kim and I ran and got pizza and beer. It's a treat to have good pizza close. It's been so long since that has been the case for Steve and I. For the rest of the evening the boys are going to watch a movie and Kim and I are going to start to do some serious work on our project. HA HA, I'm keeping you in the dark still. Maybe I shouldn't you guys are going to let your imaginations run wild and then when we reveal our project you are going to be all, "that's it, THAT'S the big project!!!!" Awe hell, you'll get over it. That's what you get for reading the ramblings of a crazy woman. THE JOKES ON YOU!! Who's crazy now, huh? Yeah, not me!!!! The voices in my head said I'm just fine, it's the rest of you.
I almost forgot to mention, the voices had to remind me, but the bake sale raised $238.00 for Alex's group!!! Yea kids!!!!!!!!! They deserve a lot of credit, it was hot and those kids kept wheeling a cooler around with drinks trying to sell them and the dog treats and baked goods.
