Heartbreak In The RV (That would make a good C&W song)

My heart is breaking as we leave the DiJoseph Family RV Park. Saying goodbye to Kim and Robert and Alex is so hard, we had such a great time staying with them. I guess that means we are leaving just in time. Kim is crying, I'm crying, Steve and Robert just shake their heads and poor Alex looks like he has no idea if he should cry, make a joke, or grab tools and build something to get testosterone pumping. When I look back at the last month I can honestly say I had a GREAT time. We ate well, we laughed often, I would like to say that Kim and I got closer, but we really didn't, we just got a rare opportunity to enjoy the closeness we already have. Thank God and thank you Steve for indulging my photography cause I will look back at my pictures from this trip and remember every moment of a cherished time. I am truly blessed!!!!!
As we are driving along I realize how much I have missed this area. You look out either side of the windshield and you see a patchwork quilt of green. Rows planted this way or that, cows grazing, a horse and bugging riding by, silos rising up in the fields like guardians of a different time making sure the slow pace and simple life doesn't disappear for ever. I don't think there is another place like this anywhere. I am sure along this trip I will find other places that enchant, but Eastern Pennsylvania will always be home and a place I love.

Driving along I saw the big wind turbines. I had no idea how huge they are. No wonder no one wants them near their homes. Although it was cool to see them, they were completely still, I doubt this will ever be a reliable source of electricity. They are so big it must take quite a wind to make then turn and I bet they make one heck of a noise. You always hear about the noise coming from the turbines being a big complaint. I guess so when the blades are as big as a house. What an effective use of tax dollars. P.T. Barnum would be proud. There really is a sucker born every minute and their name is Tax Payer.

$36.10 we just paid in the toll on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?? And let me tell you what, it wasn't worth it, the road was by no means in good repair. That is more then we are going to pay for the camp site tonight. Now I know what "highway robbery" means!!!!!! Spend it wisely PA you won't be getting that from us again!

We are here and set up and I think I might put this blog to bed since nothing else will be happening today. It is pouring here, the rain started just as Steve was finishing up outside. Of course the TV is showing storm warnings where we are. We are planning an early dinner then probably an early to bed night so we can get an early start. The rain, if it keeps up, will make for nice sleeping tonight. We are looking forward to getting to Columbus, Ohio.
