Day 38

Rain Day

This morning we were woken up by thunder and lightening and more rain. This has been a very wet spring up here. It does make for very pretty vegetation, but I'm kinda over it. Last night Steve and I picked up a United States wall map and we started to map out places we wanted to make sure to visit. We started doing more planning. I'm so excited!!

Since the weather was so iffy all day we pretty much laid low. Steve has really gotten into reading on his iPad, so he's been happy as a clam relaxing and reading everything he can find on the library's website. Kim and I went to get stuff for dinner and then settled in to watch a movie. Kim had never seen the 1980 hit, "Somewhere In Time" with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve. Oh it is a favorite of mine and I haven't seen it in years. We found it on Netflix so we put it on sat back and enjoyed the show. 

Dinner was chicken ala king over rice with fruit salad and orange sherbet for dessert. After dinner Catherine showed up to go walking. So Kim, Catherine, and I went for a nice walk. It was threatening to rain, but at that point only a nice breeze. So we are walking and talking and Kim and Catherine notice that bats were flying around. YES, I SAID BATS!!!!!!! OMG, Catherine was making this crazy noise and I think it was attracting the bats cause they kept circling. I was freaking out. I HATE BATS!!!!!! That was it for me. When we got back up to our end if the street I said good night to those crazy girls and I came in to the safety of my RV, NO BATS ALLOWED!!!!!!
