Girl's Day

Today was Girl's Day. Kim came to the door this morning to inform me she had gone to get croissants and she was going down to Catherine's did I want to go down too. Steve and I were supposed to do something today but he never really had anything he wanted to do, so I went. Well Catherine had a surprise for me, she made me a T-shirt and she also got me a pin from the San Francisco Zoo. What a wonderful girl!! I took one look at the shirt and immediately fell in love with it. It says "I'M A PHOTOGRAPHER NOT A DOCTOR." A Star Trek quote, reworked just for me. How perfect!!!!! Catherine had made a stencil and put it on the shirt and then painted the quote on there. It is so cool. Then she announced she had another one that wasn't done yet and I got to pick. She had another T-shirt and another stencil and she was asking my input on where and how to place the letters and the graphic and what color to use and details, details, details, heck I'm just thrilled to get the shirt. So I wanted to get the camera to get some photos of the process and show Steve the first T-shirt.
Kim drove back with me and along the way she gave me the inside scoop on the shirt. Catherine had made a test shirt two days before and she had it on to show Kim when she came down to walk. Kim and I were finishing the last five minutes of the movie we were watching. Catherine in the mean time came down to get Kim and she had a sweatshirt over the test T-shirt, Catherine was peeking in the window to see if I was with Steve or what, when she realized that Steve was alone she came in to show him the T-shirt. Of course she had to take the sweatshirt off, and just as she is putting it back on I came back to put my sneakers on to go walk. I walked in and Catherine is getting dressed (really just putting her sweatshirt back on) Steve makes a joke about how Catherine had come in and was taking her clothes off. Of course I thought that was funny cause all the women always want Steve, who wouldn't. As we are walking I got warm and took my jacket off, Kim took her sweatshirt off, and Catherine left hers on. I didn't think anything about it at the time. So poor Catherine was showing Steve the T-shirt and almost got caught, she was walking and had to pretty much expire from being too warm cause she couldn't take her sweatshirt off and all because she had the prototype T-shirt on. How sweet is that? Of course after Kim told me all of this it occurred to me that I never even asked Steve about the fact that a woman we just met was taking her clothes off in our RV with only him around, never even crossed my mind that something might be fishy with that. That's trust!!, but then I do have a wonderful husband.
After the walk last night Kim and Catherine were going to "walk" more and I went in to get away from the bats. Little did I know they were making the shirt she was going to give me today. When I went back to Catherine's this morning, I was able to get pictures of the process of printing your own shirt. Cool huh!!!!!!
After the T-shirt was done and drying us girls took off for the afternoon. We had a nice lunch at a little Italian place in Downingtown. Then we went to a couple little shops and just had a fun afternoon. We picked up Geo from school cause he wasn't feeling well made a quick stop at the food store then home to make dinner.
After dinner Kim and I met Catherine to go walking but we also had to stop by Marie's house to show her the T-shirts. Marie, another Treky, helped Catherine come up with the quote, way to go Marie cause I love it. So now Steve is watching a movie with Robert and Alex and I'm busy updating you on my day and feeling very sad thinking in a few days we are going to be hitting the road and I am going to miss Kim and Robert and Alex, and Catherine and Akio and Geo and baby Azure so much. It helps to focus on the fact that we will get to see Celeste and Robert and the grandkids in Columbus. Good night everyone!
