Breakfast On The Deck
Jun 9, 2013, 10:32 AM
This morning we decided to have sticky buns on the deck. The morning weather was so perfect. It was cool and the sun was playing hide and seek with clouds. Just a wonderful morning to sit outside. After we ate we were listening to the birds. I got my iPad and we were listening to different bird calls on my Peterson's Birds of North America app. The birds seems to be listening too. After a while Catherine called and we were off for another adventure.
Photo Session

Since we got back from North Carolina and Catherine and Akio got back from California, I asked Catherine if I could get some photos of the kids and/or family. So that was the plan. Kim and I drove over to the Hibernia County Park and we walked around to scope out places we wanted to try to take family portraits. This place was really neat. There is a mansion and a barn and a playground and hiking paths and ruins and a creek, it's got it all. We had so many places to choose from. Catherine and her family are very outdoors type of people, so we decided to go down to the path that runs along the creek. Right out of the gate Catherine finds and catches a frog. Geo loved it and I was able to snap off a few shots of them examining the frog. It was such a special moment caught forever. I love it! We had the best time and we must have been there about two hours. We did some posed photos and some play photos and it was so much fun to spend time with this truly great family. Catherine is fearless, with baby on hip she doesn't hesitate to climb down an embankment and get in the water or try to find the perfect spot for photos. Akio has such a great sense of humor and there is just a fun spirit about him, and I can't say enough about how well behaved the boys are. We played, we laughed, Geo said hello to EVERYONE he met.
After we had our full of the park we came home to get dinner started. We had a salad from veggies right out of Kim's garden and when Kim needed an onion Catherine ran down to pick one out of the ground and run it back up to be washed and cut. It doesn't get any better than that.
Another terrific day is in the bag. Life is good!!!!!!!
